These devices, first of all, have a lot of benefits for your bathroom with regards to hygiene. Try comparing how hygienic a bar of soap is compared to what is given by these soap dispensers: you have to hold the bar, and rub it on your hands, then leave a partially melted piece of soap back on the tray. When done by a lot of people who do not wash their hands thoroughly enough, this could even lead to the spread of germs rather than their prevention.
